October 2025 Mass Cruisers Newsletter: Celebrating a Season of Cars, Community, and Cruising

As the leaves turn and autumn sweeps across New England, the Mass Cruisers Auto Club closes another successful cruising season with reflection, celebration, and a final push of events. The October 2025 Mass Cruisers newsletter (Vol. 34, Issue 10) captures everything that makes this club special: classic cars, community spirit, and a calendar packed with opportunities to connect before the year winds down.

Wrapping Up the Season at Bass Pro Shop Cruise Nights

Treasurer Kevin Rushlow opens the newsletter with reflections on the season’s highlights. With only two Bass Pro Shop cruise nights left — October 2nd (Halloween Cruise) and October 16th — members are encouraged to bring their cars out one more time before winter storage.

Alongside these marquee evenings, the club will join the Friends of Borderland for a car show on October 11 at Borderland State Park in North Easton, followed by a “Thank You” BBQ on October 18 to celebrate the volunteers who make the season possible.

Looking Back: September Highlights

September was a record-breaking month for the Mass Cruisers:

  • September 4th Cruise Night: Over $4,300 raised for local food pantries, the largest single cruise donation in club history. Enthusiasts also enjoyed reserved marque areas featuring Tri-Five Chevys and members of the Pontiac Oakland Club.
  • September 18th Cruise Night: Despite a rainy morning, nearly 900 cars gathered under clear evening skies. Highlights included a robotics display from the Easton Oliver Ames “Iron Tigers,” donations to the Tools 4 Kids program, and a 50-50 raffle benefiting vocational school grants.

Winning rides also earned recognition — from a 1955 Chevrolet 210 to a stunning 1932 Ford Coupe.

Road Trips, Shows, and Traditions

Beyond the weekly cruises, September was filled with memorable events:

  • Old Orchard Beach Weekend: Now in its 20th year, this trip drew 400 pre-registrations. Members enjoyed cruising, seaside relaxation, and trophies that went to standouts like a 1970 Cadillac and a 1965 GTO.
  • Adirondack Nationals at Lake George: With more than 1,500 registered cars, this event continues to be a cornerstone for the club — blending show cars, scenic cruising, and fireworks.

These gatherings underline the club’s balance of tradition and inclusivity, where old favorites are preserved while new enthusiasts and unique builds are welcomed.

October Events to Watch

Here’s what’s still ahead for October 2025:

  • October 2 — Halloween-themed cruise night at Bass Pro Shops.
  • October 11 — Car show at Borderland State Park with the Friends of Borderland.
  • October 16 — Final Bass Pro cruise of the season.
  • October 18 — Volunteer “Thank You” BBQ for members.

Additional shows, swap meets, and gatherings are also listed in the newsletter, offering plenty of chances to get behind the wheel before the season ends.

Why This Matters

What stands out in this newsletter is the heart behind the chrome:

  1. Community Impact — Record donations prove the club’s commitment to giving back. Food pantries benefit not only from the money raised but also from the efficiency of direct purchase support.
  2. Volunteer Recognition — By spotlighting individuals and teams, the club shows appreciation for the countless hours that keep events running.
  3. Tradition with a Future — From Old Orchard Beach to Lake George, Mass Cruisers continues to honor decades-old traditions while creating space for new members, families, and local groups.

A Final Note

The October 2025 newsletter reads like a season finale: full of gratitude, packed with events, and already building anticipation for what’s next. It’s a reminder to members and fans alike — don’t let the season slip away. Fire up the engine, join the last cruises, and share in the fellowship of one of New England’s most passionate auto clubs.
